Dubai: According to reports, the instant messaging service WhatsApp Services Down in UAE in the UAE as well as many other countries. Numerous customers reported outages on their desktop as well as handheld devices.
Around 12:10 p.m., WhatsApp services resumed after almost an hour of sporadic connectivity, mostly on the web. However, access to the Facebook and Instagram websites is still unavailable.
On Saturday morning, users of WhatsApp in the United Arab Emirates noticed problems with the messaging service on their mobile and desktop computers. There were difficulties with Facebook and Instagram as well as other Meta platforms.
WhatsApp users on desktop had logged out, however users sending messages only had a single gray checkmark. Texts on the app began to arrive after a few minutes, but the web site was still unavailable. The error notice read, “The site can’t be reached.”
Downdetector.com, a monitoring tool, saw a rise in the number of users experiencing WhatsApp problems at 10:47 am.
The peak was also observed for Instagram starting at 11.12am, Facebook starting at 11.11am, and Messenger starting at 11.14am.
